Heather Labbe

I'm an Artist with over 17 years of independent art related experience - passionate, experimental and self-taught. I was born in Dunoon, Scotland and grew up in the USA between the East Coast and West Coast, mostly Connecticut and Los Angeles, as my father was in the military. Eventually I moved to Oregon, where I developed the desire to paint. I enjoy exploring with oil and acrylic mediums. Living in the Willamette Valley of Oregon I found myself inspired by the many beautiful people and surroundings I was lucky to be amidst. I spent the summer of 2017 exploring Europe and found myself almost overwhelmingly inspired. In October of 2017 I moved to San Antonio, Texas and so far I'm loving every bit of it!

Aceldama

The painter Aceldama, retired mediaevalist and former iconographer, uses the media and techniques common in writing icons for his panels devoted to the exploration of color relationships and mathematical proportions. Sometimes the subject is also mathematical; sometimes the subject is a development of more traditional genres, such as landscapes and stilllifes. One wonders, what would art look like if painters had been limited to the media and techniques of iconographers, but had studied in the studios of Cezanne,Braque, Feninger and the Futurists? Aceldama experiments with this idea.

Bjorn Sjogren

Born in Sweden; living in the USA since 2001. I create pictures using my life experiences, often mingled with my present inner feelings and a kind of Scandinavian simplicity of design. On a blank canvas I apply the bright acrylic colors I feel for at the moment, my head totally blank and free from input, letting my inner emotions, life experiences and impressions form whatever it wants. Giving my art most times a content and a meaning most people can recognize.

Cat Flores

Hi, my name is Cat Flores and I'm 31years old. I was born in San Antonio and I'm an artist of different mediums. I primarily paint with acrylic on canvas. I also like to use mixed media on my paintings like: mirror, beads, and lace. I'm definitely inspired by nature, fashion, geometry, emotions, and science. Creativity has always been a passion for me! Creating art makes me happy! After retiring from teaching, I was able to follow my artistic passion and took a pastel class. I was hooked! I have been drawn to acrylics and encaustics. Art is an adventure of learning and exploring new and exciting things. Moreover, my love for animals has led me to painting animals and pet portraits.

John De Leon

Art has always been a passion of mine. Ever since I could remember I always had a sketch book to work in. Most recently I have become fascinated with colors and how they are used to create an image. In pursuit of understanding of color I have taken to live painting. I still work from photographs when in the studio, but I love to take my paints outside and paint ala pleinair or from live models. Painting this way makes every painting and adventure.

Art is my passion and it makes me happy to create.

This is what I represent in my oil and acrylic paintings.

D.M. Perry

D.M. Perry

Inspired by the ever-present darkness of our daily lives and the soul-crushing magnitude of the heavens above, she draws elements of the natural world and the animals that inhabit it. She is passionate about the environment and all its many creatures, expressing those passions through oil, charcoal and colored pencils. Currently residing in San Antonio, her nomadic life has brought her to such divergent locales as the metropolis of Miami to the hamlet of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Javier Galan

A highly accomplished self-taught artist originally from Coahuila, Mexico whose artistic heritage finds its expression through different media (painting, photography, poetry, ceramics, etc.). Javier paints in various styles; cubism, surrealism, abstract, etc, and keeps experimenting in each of them. Drawing since childhood, he loved to create from his imagination the facades of modern houses. It was reading about the great modern painters that gave him confidence and a feeling of belonging to a certain psychological sameness, a feeling of radical transition from centuries of traditional art.

Melissa Torres

Originally from Newburgh, NY, I moved to San Antonio in 1997. After working 12 years as an ER Nurse, art became a way of escaping reality and releasing the frustration that came with working in such a stressful environment. Abraham Vasquez

With a classical foundation in drawing and painting I strive to make beautiful art from contemporary subject matter. I hold myself to the highest of standards to display artwork that is original, contemplative, and worthy of being labeled 'fine art.' It is a pleasure to be a painter in this age with the wealth of knowledge from the masters before me; therefore, it is essential that I strive for excellence in my lifelong endeavor of art.

knowartist

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, knowartist came to be after a tattoo apprenticeship. He began experimenting with acrylic paint, back in 2010.  Mostly painting what he calls "lowbrow folk art", his style evolved into a tighter, richer, more colorful form of illustrative painting. He prefers to create imagery in which the ideas are fresh to the audience and visually stimulating. While his concepts are usually off-kilter, he leaves his work open to various interpretations by the viewer, allowing them to metaphorically paint their own picture.

Luis Mario Rodríguez (LMR)

I am a passionate artist looking to expose and share the extensive experience I've gained from painting with acrylics. Originally from Mexico, NL, I currently reside in San Antonio since 2009. My works often are portrayals of women with mythical & subliminal undertones, painted with an array of bold colors and complimented with different eye catching mediums. With a background in fashion design, I incorporate both passions into my art as a way to expose innovative ideas and introduce my desire for fashion illustration through painting.

Three legends that have inspired me throughout: Pablo Picasso, Diego Rivera, and Frida Kahlo.

Estefana Reeves

My name is Estefana Reeves and I have been painting since 2015. I have no background in arts and no formal training to produce art. I began to paint as a form of expressing what I saw so clearly in my mind. My eyes have always been attracted to impressionism such as Monet and Van Gogh but  I paint pictures that are in my head and I paint them as close as possible to the original image. My inspiration for the images come from this intensely beautiful and yet intensely cruel world.

Jeff Talmadge

Patti Schulze

I am the founder of Digital Training & Designs, an Adobe and Apple Authorized training center located in the Dallas, Texas area. Now retired and living in San Antonio, I am concentrating on my artwork. My paintings are not photographs of a painting as no painting exists. These are photographs of artwork created by mixing different liquids, paints, inks, or whatever I dream up and experiment with to create the abstract. The dish is cleaned and the ink or paint is washed down the drain, gone forever. All that remains is the photograph.

Tina Griesenbeck Novelli

I'm a Texas artist and love painting the San Antonio Riverwalk. Primarily I work in watercolors and pen and ink; other medias include polymer clay, acrylics, and jewelry. I began drawing in pencil and charcoal around 5 years, progressed into pen and ink, and then proceeded to technical and architectural works. Scientific illustrations soon expanded into fashion and other commercial work. When I found watercolors, I fell in love. I still take commissions for technical work but spend the majority of my time painting.

Ann Marie Wycoff

I moved to San Antonio from Richmond, Virginia in 2015. I am a double major of psychology and visual art at UTSA. Art is the epitome of personal expression of one human to the world. I make art for the sake of working through life's issues and for the pure enjoyment of it. I hope upon graduation,  to be able to use art with clients as a means to find a source of light to navigate through the darkness.

Landrell Scurlock

God has given me the means and opportunity to express the essence of the beauty of His creations that He has set before us and introduce the world to various forms of art through my eyes, which entitles them to experience life through a different perspective. Originally from New Orleans, I was influenced by Chartres Street in the French Quarter. I watched in amazement while the street artists practice their artistic skills. In high school I took Art History as an elective for four years to expose me to various mediums and types of art. Through that exposure I was drawn to abstract art particularly, dealing mostly in acrylic and watercolor mediums.
